Going Deeper

Wanting to go deeper into the Dharma?

You're not alone. One of the most common requests people make at the Center is a wish to learn, practice, serve, and share on a deeper level. Now you have that opportunity.

On Sunday afternoons from 12:30-2pm, after the morning introductory class, we are offering a variety of programs intended to deepen students knowledge, experience, connection, and confidence in the Dharma. The program begins this Sunday, May 4.

May: The Bodhisattva's Way of Life
May 4, 12:30-2pm: Deepening Understanding: A Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life
May 11, The Bodhisattva Vow Ceremony on this day has been cancelled due to Gen-la Dekyong's visit
May 18, 12:30-2pm: Deepening Confidence: How to Teach Dharma

June: The Spiritual Guide
June 1, 12:30-2pm: Deepening Understanding: A Guide for the Path
June 8, 12:30-2pm: Deepening Connection: A Meeting for our Volunteer Community

June 22, 12:30-2pm: Deepening Confidence: Teaching Skills session



Meditations for Daily Practice
Wednesdays at 7pm - 8:15pm with Sonja Hanson
Held at Vajrarupini Buddhist Center, 3344 Fourth Ave. (between Upas & Thorn) map link

This on-going class will include some short Buddhist prayers, instruction on how to meditate and some introductory explanation of the subjects for meditation within the Kadampa tradition, called Lamrim. There will also be an opportunity for questions.

This course is suitable for beginners and those practitioners who wish to improve their meditation practice. Based on the book "Introduction to Buddhism " by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.
