May Series: Getting Control of Our Lives - Transforming Busyness into Mindfulness
The days are going by. We have great dreams and wishes, but we often feel like our life is going nowhere, fast. None of us want our lives to be wasted with meaningless activities, but preventing this requires a skillful approach. Our most important task at the beginning is to get a clear sense of where we want to go; we then need to take practical steps, day by day, to make our actions meaningful and effective; and finally we need to understand how to take a long-term approach to a meaningful and spiritual life. This practical series of classes will offer advice on how to get control of our lives and stop being governed by distractions.
Everyone is welcome. These introductory classes are particularly suitable for beginners. No pre-registration is required and you can join classes at any time and attend one or more classes in a series. Classes include guided meditations, teachings, and chanted prayers. There is no need to bring or wear anything special.
There is no fee for this class. Donations are gratefully accepted.

June Series: Living in the Moment - Making Every Action Count
Life changes moment by moment. But often our ideas of our world don't keep up. The result is that we end up holding onto stale, unrealistic views about ourself, our world, and the people around us. We end up being guided by our preconceptions, instead of being guided by fresh wisdom, and the result is that we end up inflexible, ineffective, and exhausted. Breaking out of this habit is a joyful path to experiencing life with moment to moment freshness.

June 14 - Re-creating the future
June 21 - Living in the Present (Father's Day)
