Every year our world becomes more complex and chaotic. Trying to keep up normally means having a busier and busier mind, and less and less inner peace. This doesn’t have to be the case. For 2600 years, Buddhists have taught and practiced methods of cultivating the mind that allow us to blend outer activity with a meaningful life purpose, and thereby to direct our activities in a wise and compassionate way. This class will introduce the basic principles of Buddhism through teachings, guided meditations, and discussions.
