A Silent Retreat Was held Julian during the Fall of 2009

Julian is lovely even when it's chilly. Here Kathy stays warm between sessions. Some of our San Diego County mountains are in the background.

A lovely statue of the living Buddha Shakyamuni graced the altar at the retreat.

Over a dozen people gathered together for the retreat led by Resident Teacher Gen Atisha. The group maintained silence, aside from during the introduction at the beginning and a summing up at the end [and the group photo  :-) ].

Vajrarupini Center has been holding and annual retreat in Julian for many years. They, along with other events, are announced on our Home Page and in our calendar.
